    Ability Enterprise, one of the top-four Taiwan-based ODM/OEM makers of digital cameras, will distribute a dividend per share of NT$3.7(US$0.12), NT$3.2 in cash and NT$0.5 in stocks, for its 2007 operations, according to a decision made by the company's board of directors at a meeting on March 21.     AMD is suing Korean chip giant Samsung for alleged breach of five patents relating to fabrication technology and one to displays.

    MOBILE PHONE MAKER High Tech Computer (HTC) is developing a handset which will run Android software developed by Google and a consortium of other tech companies.

    THE WORLD'S largest mobile operator, China Mobile, added an astonishing 68.1 million new subscribers in 2007 bringing its total to 360 million.

    CHINESE e-commerce outfit Alibaba, which is part of Yahoo, is trying to save itself from the clutches of Microsoft.

    TPV Technology brands (mostly the AOC brand) topped Samsung as the leading LCD monitor vendor in China in 2007, according to estimates from Discloser Data Center (DDC).
